FAQ – Asking for assist

Drivers are not allowed to give out personal contact information, but can recommend repair shops/towing companies. Driver recommendations are not company recommendations and shouldn’t be perceived as such.

While some drivers may be mechanics or have experience working on vehicles, not all are and we don’t represent any of our drivers as mechanics. They are simply independent contractors with training, who have certified they can perform the tasks related to being an auXcar assist

Background checks are run on all drivers. Drivers working with us also know that customers are top priority, so your safety and security is always first and foremost.

All auXcar assist drivers have been trained and certified that they have the necessary skills to assist you in the roadside services on our platform.

 While you may have cash on your person, we kindly ask that you tip drivers within the app. Tips are not required but highly recommended. Tips help us keep good assist drivers working on our platform to assist you in your roadside needs.

All tips belong 100% to assist drivers.

Prices are variable based on the service performed. We aim to keep our prices highly competitive and below what it would cost for a tow driver to assist you. Most importantly our aim is to get to you extremely fast, instead of waiting hours on a tow driver. Your payment is made within our app upon completion of service. However, our prices in the future are subject to change.

No. Drivers are not allowed to transport customers anywhere while using the platform.

Drivers are not allowed to perform outside services that are not listed on the app.

 auXcar has a no tolerance policy: we do not permit a driver or customer to assault the other in any way including but not limited to physical, verbal or sexual. Such acts will cause an immediate & permanent removal from the platform. As a reminder, all of our drivers are independent contractors. Please notify your local authorities immediately if you have been assaulted and contact us within the platform.

All drivers are asked to perform services as safely & timely as possible. While service times may vary, we aim to have you back on the road as fast as possible.

We ask that customers allow auXcar drivers to perform all roadside tasks, however customers can assist drivers if desired. But remember our drivers have been trained to help you so you can get back on the road as fast as possible.

When a driver arrives to assist, please stand at a safe distance to limit any risk of injury. Remember our goal is to assist you.

When you are located on a major roadway/highway with traffic passing at high speed, this is considered a high risk assist & an extra fee will apply.
